Jennifer studied celebrancy at Monash University
in order to really understand the needs of our multicultural community and to be able to create
the very best ceremonies to celebrate the rites of passage through our lives.

If you would like to recognise a special moment in your
life or that of someone close to you, I can help you create
a ceremony which is meaningful and memorable - something just for you!

I am able to plan and conduct Namings, Renewal of Vows, Commitment Ceremonies and a range of other celebrations and I am fully insured in the unlikely event of any accidents!

Together we can find the words, acts, and symbols to celebrate a wide range of life cycle events. I specialise in working with couples planning the happiest day of their lives - their wedding day.

You can choose traditional vows or use a more contemporary vow – one you’ve written yourself or one you’ve chosen from examples Jen can supply for you. You must however, use some words from the Marriage Act (1961) at the start of your vow.

EXAMPLE: TRADITIONAL VOW.
"I________ take thee ________ to be my wedded (husband/wife), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do us part." - The Book of Common Prayer

EXAMPLE: CONTEMPORARY VOW.
"I ask everyone here to witness that I ______ take you, _______ to be my wife/husband. I promise to laugh with you when times are good and to suffer with you when times are bad; I promise to wash away your tears with my kisses and to hold you sweetly and gladly until our days on earth are over."

We can incorporate different elements into your ceremony which can add a personal touch;

For example:
Handfasting, originally from a pagan ritual, is the basis of the term 'tying the knot' and includes joining your wrists with ribbon or even a piece of fabric from your dress

Lighting the larger, stronger 'Unity Candle' from two smaller candles, represents your new union.

Talk to me about anything you want for your ceremony, and I will help you to organise it.
